Masters Qualifier #4
At long last my 2014 season ends today. Last workout is 100 Pull-Ups, 100 Wall-Balls
I planned to do sets of 10 pull-ups for as long as possible and then just grind through as best as I could after that. Did about 3 or 4 sets of 10 unbroken and then after that it was a blur. I guess I did OK getting through the pull-ups. The wall-balls, which are actually a strength of mine were pretty miserable. Did a set of 25 to start and then some 15's. Mostly 10's after that. I was disappointed that I let the ball drop twice in my last 15 reps!! No excuse for that but I was having trouble just pushing the ball up past the target line.
At the end I was wasted. Took about 5-10 minutes to stand up. My time of 10:09 was good enough for 33rd in the world. Not bad at all but I really should have pushed harder at the end to break 10:00. I told myself that I will never let up again right before the finish line. That is clearly the difference between winning and losing in a lot of these situations.
